Etched Nameplates

The chemical etching process removes targeted areas of a particular metal in order to etch an image directly into the metal substrate surface.  This area may then be filled with enamel ink of your chosen colour in order to produce a plate with dramatic visual contrast.  The etching process produces nameplates which are extremely durable and highly resistant to abrasive chemical and other elements.

Engraved Nameplates

Macfarlane uses rotary and laser engraving methods to display your custom information on gravoply (lamacoid), anodized aluminum or stainless steel.  Engraving is ideal for low volume nameplates, badges and ID products.
